XLink Multiplatform Tunneling Software Released
« on: May 22, 2004, 01:57:34 PM »
Three systems, one tunneling program.  It's likely as close to Xbox Live! as the GameCube will ever get.

After months of toiling behind keyboards, XLink Kai: Evolution VII is finally ready for public consumption.  Boasting superior tunneling software compatible with all three home consoles, GameCube owners itching to go online now have a new alternative for all LAN-enabled games.

Using a chatroom-like interface, two or more GameCubes can be linked together without fooling with IP addresses, and with minimal port-forwarding setup.  Kai also supports voice chat using a PC microphone, and many extra features for modified Xboxes.  Kai even runs on all three major computer operating systems (Windows, Mac and Linux)!

To join the XLink community, simply follow XLink Team Leader TheDaddy’s instructions!

Note: There is a slight delay in getting the files posted.  The download should be available by the end of the day.

Did we forget about warppipe?  I have been using that for a few months now, and that has come a long way.  Not to mention the complete version is going to be released very soon, boasting all sorts of new features.
