Topic: Resident Evil 0 Help

Ok so I've beaten the game blah blah all that crap.  I got the extra stuff in the Leech Hunter (Magnum and Infi Ammo) and beat the game again, thinking I'd get the Rocket Launcher (I beat it in under 3 hours), but the STUPID THING WAS ON EASY!!!!   BIG TIME !!!
Here's my question:  Is there ANYWAY in the 9 5/8th layer of Hades that I could somehow keep what all I've done on the saved portion of my game, but up the difficulty level?  I've tried Continue and Restart, but to no avail.  I can't seem to change the level.  I don't want to have to beat the game AGAIN and the Leech Hunter twice AGAIN just to be able to get the Launcher.  Anyone have a glimmer of hope?
