Megaman: Network Transmission (Boss Strategy)
« on: June 22, 2004, 09:44:53 PM »
                                                          Warning...Warning...Warning
                                                             ---Contains Spoilers---
(If you even care...I don't know many people that like this game, but I do)

Graphics:7/10 (You barely notice that it's cell shaded after awhile, so that's not a factor)
Gameplay:8/10 (I love how they set this game up.  It has the feel of the classic Megaman games and the newer
                                Battle Network games)
Sound/Music:9/10 (I love the music in this game.  There's just something to it, I don't know.  However, for the
voices, they could have at least dubbed out the Japanese and put in English.)
Story:8/10 (I surprised to find out that this takes place before Battle Network 2, but BN2 doesn't mention Zero
anywhere.  Transmission has a very good storyline nonetheless.)
Difficulty:10/10 (I know that you aren't supposed to give a game a perfect score on any one statistic, unless it's
a Zelda game, but this game is crazy hard.  Sometimes I've been so mad that I almost popped
blood vessels in my neck and forehead.  The only other time I've done that was when I was
playing Inferno for the fourth time in Weapons Master in Soul Calibur2 to beat it.  I'm not very
good with Link, but I refuse to use someone else to prove my loyalty to Link.)
Boss Difficulty: Fireman: 5/10-At first this guy's hard, but if you have two Aqua Swords, he's dead in a hurry.
Gutsman: 6/10-This guy ticked me off!  You know his moves, but he still kills you!  He gets really
                                               easy after you get better.
Needleman: 4/10-All you have to do is dodge his needles and hit him with Fire Swords.
Iceman: 2/10-He's a joke.  Just kill him.
Brightman: 7/10-The only way to hurt him is with NAVI chips(not Roll) and if he jumps.  Otherwise
                                                 he hits you.
Colorman: 5/10-Just dodge his Fire Tower and Ball and you'll be okay.
Quickman: 6/10-All you have to do is slide under him when he charges, dodge his boomerang, and
hit him WHEN HE STILL DOESN'T HAVE HIS BOOMERANG.
Elecman: 4/10-Yes, this guy is butt hard if you don't know what to do.  Just shoot him with a
regular buster shot, turn around and shoot him when he tries to electricute you.
                                             Remember, ALWAYS KEEP RUNNING.
Swordman: 5/10-Simple as this-Kill him before he kills you, because he will kill you fast.
Gravityman: 7/10-This guy is so easy but hard at the same time.  He doesn't do anything, but
you just die.  Just hit his head.  If you're on the top platform, and you charge
your buster, DO NOT jump to hit him.  Wait for him to come up and shoot him.
Starman: 6/10-Dodge his attacks.  If you try to shoot him, he'll disappear.  Wait until you know that
he's going to try to attack you, then he'll be vulmerable.
Zero: 8/10-DO NOT GET HIT BY HIS SWORD!  It hurts like crazy.  Otherwise, he's vulnerable to every
attack because he has no shield or aura.
Shadowman: 6/10-Don't get hit by his huge Ninja star or his Sharuken.  Also, do not be fooled by
his double team.  He's always the darkest Shadowman.  DO NOT GET HIT BY
HIS MARUMASA.  Depending on how much HP he has left, this could mean instant
                                                  death to you.
Pharoman: 8/10-This guy is hard.  Just have a lot of strong projectiles and a lot of MP(green bar).
When he releases his Anibus, shoot it down with your normal buster.  Dodge his
green lasers and his Ratty viruses.  You WILL be seriously damaged so Roll chips
                                              would be nice to have.
Protoman: 9/10-God, this guy is nuts!  He is fast, strong, and sneaky.  If you attack him before he
attacks you, he'll use a guard and send a shockwave back at you.  You will get hit
by his sword, but quickly turn around and attack him.  He's near impossible.
Firewall: 6/10-There will be one big gun and two support guns on the top and on the bottom.  Yes,
this is just a big defense system.  First take out the support guns, because the
missiles that they shoot will cause you to get hit by the big gun's laser.  After that, it's
a piece of cake.  Just shoot the big gun when it's "eye" is open.
Combined Clones: 7/10-Here, a man named the Prfessor will make you fight cloned Net NAVIs that
you've fought in the past.  Fireman, Gutsman, Needleman, Iceman, Brightman
Quickman, Colorman, and Elecman.  You do not gain life or chips in the whole
battle, but if you die, you pick up where you left off.
Life Virus(Part 1): 7/10-Take out his aura, dodge his attacks(he uses mainly Wood Tower, Iceman,
                                                        and Elecman) and beat him.
Life Virus(Part 2): 5/10-Just dodge him and his attacks.  Don't get hit.  This part is easy.
Bass: 10/10-This guy is 1000000000000 times worse than Protoman.  You take out his aura with an
attack more than 100 AP.  When it's down use a strong attack(Marumasa is good
because it is stronger when you are low in HP, and you will be low on HP).  His aura
comes back either by time or after your attack.  You can hit him forever, but he just
won't die.  I think he has about 3000 HP(The highest HP NAVI before was Pharoman
with only 1000 HP).  Also, even if you have 1000 HP(The max for you), if he hits you 3
times with any of his attacks, you're dead.  He is unbearably hard, and the closest I've
been to is about 1/8 of his life.  I can't beat him, but I'm practicing.

My most useful technique-(I used this to get all the NAVI chips in the game so I can get to Bass)-I set Invis 3 as my custom chip-it's found by Spooky 3 in ACDC School.  In my power up folder that shows your powerups for Megaman, it shows power, rapid, and charge.  Have power and charge all the way up.  Now fight any NAVI, except Bass of course) and turn Invisible.  Now just charge up and shoot the enemy, watching to see when you turn visible again.  No other chips are necessary!

If I've forgotten a boss, please tell me.  I think I got them all though, excluding mini bosses.

Huh...weird.  I started out as a review, but shifted to a strategy guide.  What was I thinking?
