Patch for Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire Bug
« on: January 27, 2004, 03:15:07 AM »
We all know that our copies of R/S will stop growing berries after the first year of playing. I was reading Nintendo Power yesterday and it had a article about the bonus disc you get when you pre-order Pokemon Colluseum. Well, it mentioned something they hadn't said anything about yet. Apparently, when you download Jirachi into your game, it also downloads a patch to fix the bug.

Jeez, thats the perfect way to fix it, because most of the people that are pokefreaks and will still be playing after a year will be getting the pre order disc.  Props to nintendo for coming up with such a "not involving mail" way of fixing the problem.

Do you think they will still offer a method using mail to patch it?

I'm thinking they probably will, but won't publicize it much.  Basically let the die hards who want their game fixed contact them, and then they'll hook you up.
