just to get a thread started, and to stave off me starting over a couple times, does anything change at the beginning when you tell the koopa's which direction Bowser went?  and the pictures that get taken on the boat/ship thing.  are they just for in the passport?  or do they do something if you choose different ones?  just curious if anyone has noticed anything

You can change the picture later after you save the queen.  I don't know what else they do other than you can do different poses.  

I am at the part where you go out to collect the pieces of the broken beanstar.

I am at like level 26 or 27.  Is there a level limit.  I haven't played Paper Mario, but I know that Super Mario RPG had a limit at like level 15.

Also Geno is in the game, at least only as part of a mini game that you play just before Peach is kidnapped by Bowsetta *sp?*

Level-ups ended at 30 in SMRPG, not 15...Just stopped by to clear that up...

I've finished Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and I was fairly highly leveled up (44 each) and I don't think there's a cap, at least not in sight.  Every time you level you need even more points to reach the next level and weak old critters give you even less points. Each of my bros need over 5,000 points to reach the next level and it could have been more than that (may have already been leveling before last save point).

Oh, and to answer the very first thing asked in this thread, if you tell the Koopa the right direction he will give you a 1up mushroom on the Cruiser...

There's an area in Beanbean Castle Town, above the town and to the right of the castle.  You know the save point on the colored road in front of the castle?  Head right and you should be at a straight path with one part going up into a grassy place.  Do a bit of climbing and there's a guy with a camera.  For 100 coins (I think, I never did it though) he'll change the pictures in the passport for you.

Then, when the guy tells you NOT to, move the d-pad in a direction so you perform one of 4 silly poses...
