Virtua Figher Cyber Generation Trailer

See what the next VF game is going to look like with this hefty download.

The screenshots that have been floating around for this game haven't really shown what the game is all about.  However, Sega-AM2 has recently added a movie to the game's webpage, and after watching it, you'll have a better understanding of what to expect from VFCG.

The trailer serves as the story setup for the game, but since you probably don't understand Japanese, you'll just need to settle for watching it.  As previously reported, the game is an RPG, but instead of casting magic or using weapons like other games in the genre, it appears you'll learn fighting moves from the original Virtua Fighter crew and use your fighting skills to beat the crap out of your enemies.

Be warned, the movie is a bulky 30mb, so you're going to want to have either a fat connection pipe or a lot of patience.  You can get the movie directly from Sega-AM2 by clicking here.

Steven says: At first, I thought that Sega was totally ruining the VF name, but after seeing some of the battle sequences, it looks like the game might be pretty fun after all.

I hope the tech is at Gamecube level and either scaled down or sluggish on PS2. I hate it when a game's graphics get ruined by PS2 compatibility. Well, okay, it's Sega we're talking about, so I don't expect any state-of-the-art graphics...

Considering that this game was first targeted for the Gamecube, the game's tech candy should be at Gamecube level.  Well the movie looks promising it show too few game shots. Where he is learning the move may be in game but they may be cutscenes. But it looks as if the graphics are of high quality.
