Konami and Nintendo Collaborating on a Quirky Philosophy Game!

You can get the low-down http://cube.ign.com/articles/445/445991p1.html. The skinny:

Denis Dyack said:
I personally would love to see Socrates (Kojima-san) and Aristotle (Miyamoto-san) continue to work together in the future.

Everyone remembers Dyack's famous hinting at the future SK project being Metal Gear long before official news was released. Well, that's what he's doing here! They must be working on a top secret pholosophy game that will redefine gaming genres forever!

Oooh, maybe they're remaking Battle of Olympus! Anyone else remember that game?

Um...I'd be surprised if that's what he meant. I'm pretty sure, he was LIKENING the two men to those philosophers. I SERIOUSLY don't think that 2 Japanese companies like Ninty and Konami would work on a project about ancient Greece.

heh.  I find it amusing how Denis has made it so that people automatically jump on every word he says as being a new game now.  The man is a genius I tell ya.  Personally, I would take this "news" with more than a few grains of salt, but if you want to jump on the megaton bandwagon, be my guest.

this will not ahppen.  Did you guys see this months Game Informer.  Under there stupid game Idea section they had an idea to put famous historic figures into a fighting game.  That would be an awesome game. Napoleon versus Hitler that would be a great match.

Ha! Berny, Grey Ninja, and Pikkcuber - would you like me to send you a new sense of humor for Christmas? Please note the use of the "wink" and "grin" "emoticons" in the original post.

Besides, I like the Kid Icarus theory better.

I believe that they are working on another game , it has been let out more than a lot of times . Dydak tends to let thing slip alot ...I hope they are working on Kid Icarus ( even though I never played the game ) cause I have heard nothing but good things about it.

If Kid Icarus is being made at all, it's being made by Capcom- Dead Phoenix, which looked remarkably like Kid Icarus was "scrapped" and yet their are persistant reports that it has not truly been canned but will return in a very differn't form. To add to that Shinji Mikami has stated he would really like to work on a Nintendo franchise.

I played Kid Icarus once and I have to admit I didn't really like it. I found it to be very repetitive and the game play was a little annoying.

I rented Kid Icarus when I was a kid and hated it. I just remember it was one of those really freaking hard games where the charactor was hard to control and I was always falling and stuff. I was really disappointed cause it looked really cool. Maybe I just sucked though. This girl I know who brought it up all on her own last week and just went wild about it. She said that she still plays it now and then, and also that she'd never beaten it I think, which makes think it musta been wicked hard. The cool thing IMO is, if they do make a new one, they won't have to do much to improve it over the original. Just as long as Pid doesn't end up shooting hookers.

Kid Icarus is a hard game, but a very rewarding one.  The powers you can acquire help immensly as well.  Most people give up on it before they get into the meat of the game, and i implore each one of you to go give it another chance.

I hold Kid Icarus right up ther with Metroid in terms of quality.  I bought them at the same time, back in the late 80's.  What a good time that was...

SURE! I'd love to finally be able to laugh! I live at 21 Jump St., Lothlorien Woods 12345. And if you could get it in RED that would be great. Then it will match my new Santa outfit.

I don't like how he calls Kojima Socrates and Miyamoto Aristotle, Aristotle was Socrates student's(Platon) student. :X

Good point Fish. The analogy should go something like, "In the beginning, there was Miyamoto....and He created Kojima from the Earth."

Sorry about that. God, but I hate the non-standard UBB code here. The other boards I frequent use text of link which gels nicely with the syntax of html (<a href="http://www.website.com/">text of link[/url] ).

That, and the login code needs to be fixed (I had to go back and re-reply to your post after I logged in because the boards forgot that I wanted to quote you).

I previewed the post one, and replaced [URL] tags with [L and

tages with [q, but they apparently munge the syntax as well as the name.
