SPOILERS (maybe?)

I agree with the above post...only not quite as harsh as paladin put it.

I breezed through the game so swiftly that I dont even really feel like I play it.  Nothing sticks with me at all.
The fighting is very much hack and slash, only slightly more fun, because it "looks cool".

Extremely easy overall.  From the many save points to the rewind, to the giving away of ANY mystery (with those stupid "visions" that show step by step what to do).

For anyone that ever beat a tomb raider game back when they were prominate, this will feel like nothing at all.  The puzzles are very basic, and disappointing, and they give you the answers before you even have a chance to think about it.  Visuals are decent for a game widespread on every console, but the character models look like last generation, and many rooms are quite bare.  There are some neat effects, but nothing like wind waker effects (remember seeing that flying dragon with all the ashes floating in the wind the first time, or the first time you approached the ice or fire islands?WOW)

The whole game is literally as short as 1-2 dungeon in Ocarina of time (for example).
Replay value: ABSOLUTE ZERO!!!  Nothing at all changes, nothing left to see (not much the first time through either).  To replay would become mindless runaround hack, jump, beat it 5 hours type thing.  if that's your bag, have fun, but I personally am reasy to move on.

The story has been documented on many sites for being good and addicting.  Well, that is not true, there is a only very brief outline of a "story", which is nothing more than a plot setting.  Nothing unpredictable, nothing suprising, and nothing but...a mere video game.

Very overratted indeed.  Although I think everyone was praising it because it is on all platforms...it is a game "everyone can enjoy" without bickering over what console it is on.

I do like UbiSoft, they have stepped up this generation, and this game is well done, only way over hyped, and way too easy, and way way way to short...although if it was any longer I would have been bored with the few things you do; for example: run across a gap, grab the pole, swing, jump, fight some pathetic -but annoying battles, deal with a camera system that is much worse than Mario sunshine (which some had a problem with and bitched about constantly), the beat one (!) I guess what you would call, a boss battle.  End of game.

Only buy it used/cheap, or rent for a few hours and you will have sucked the life from the game in less than 10 EASY hours.

that's all folks...I am going to play wind waker again.  or maybe major's mask.  Something real, with some substance and depth.

I've been playing this game for a few days and I have to agree with you 100%. Basically what I've concluded was that the game is like a big double-chocolate cake. It appears to be very good, tastes extremely good first few bites, doesn't last very long, and if you eat too much you get sick.

Definitely a one-time ride... go rent it

Wow.

*Wipes tear from eye*

I thought I was alone... all alone...

Thank God at least one other person wasn't fooled by the hype. I can rest easy now... I'm not abnormal or anything.

Biggest waste of money I've ever spent on a game. Definitely rent it, if only to feel really good about not being suckered into buying it like I was.

Awesome, a variety of perspectives was what I was waiting for (which is something I don't seem to find on those "big" websites anymore).  It's one thing to talk about a game if you believe it's good, but it's another thing to talk about a game if you believe it's not good -- helps me look for annoyances I can agree with.

Wow..Now I feel like I'm the only guy who likes this game...
I thought that this was one of the best games I've played since WW.  Granted, the combat was simple, but I didn't mind that at all.  That was balanced with the fact that you had to find about 20 enemies in every encounter.  I loved the puzzles in the game, and that's what attracts me to games like this.  Anybody can make a good combat system, but good puzzles are something entirely different.  As for the graphics, I thought the in-game cutscenes were good enough, but the CG cutscenes were absolutely gorgeous.
SPOILERS
I don't really know what you mean when you talk about bosses.  There was the Vizier at the end, and yes he was disappointingly easy.  It just took a while to finish him off.  The only other thing I would consider calling  boss though would be your father.  Other than those two, I didn't see any bosses.
END SPOILERS
I've gotta say what I've gotta say, and then I swear I'll go away, but I can't promise you'll enjoy the noise.

That's exactly what I meant by bosses. There were only two and they both sucked.

I didn't like the puzzles because the visions told you how to solve them. I ended up skipping all the visions and the puzzles were still too easy. And once you solve them, they will NEVER be hard again.

I didn't like the fights because of the 20 enemies each time thing, not because they were simple. Simplicity wasn't the problem with them... the amount of pain they inflicted upon your rear end was. It was like pulling a tooth out with a rusty screwdriver on fire every time a fight started. Every time I solved a puzzle I thought, "oh God, next room is fight time, it always is. Why, God... why?"... And I was always right.

I haven't even mentioned the glitches yet.

And the FMV cutscenes weren't that good. The Prince's hair and face looked a little off... threw me off the whole thing.

What kind of glitches did you have?  I  had heard that some people experienced them, but I only had one.  In the tower as you're riding the elevator up to the top, you know how you had to fight that unbelieveably long wave of enemies?  If I died at that part (and was unable to rewind far enough) the game's loading screen would come up as normal, but sometimes the level wouldn't reload.  The reset button wouldn't work at that point too.  That happened maybe three times.

Couple of glitches I had:

Princess keels over for absolutely no reason all of a sudden. All the enemies in the room were long gone. Maybe they tried to simulate a heart attack or something.

I somehow went into a save point during or right before a cutscene (don't remember exactly, the cutscene had something to do with it) and the game froze. Restarted the game, skipped the cutscene, suddenly see a black screen, then gameplay resumes as normal. I have no idea if it restarted from the proper place either.

Landed on top of a flag once, helped me get down... tried to do it again, dropping from the exact same place, pixel perfect and everything, but it didn't work.

And I forgot to mention another thing that really ticked me off about this game: no subtitles. I'm hearing impaired, so I understood jack from the whole story and the dialogue was totally lost on me. Would it have killed them to copy and paste the stupid script the voice actors read into the game? Screw you too, Ubisoft.
