Harvest Moon Delayes
« on: August 29, 2003, 08:11:23 PM »
I hope this isn't old new for everyone, but when I checked my email and IGN sent me a list of news from my Watched Games, there was an article that said that Harvest Moon was delayed. Possibly til 2004. I think they said it was because of sales. This is BAD news for me cause I already preordered it. I swear, if this ends up not coming to the States.... I was really looking forward to this. I was going to get it on Friday so I'd have a WHOLE weekend to fart around with it. I guess SC2 can keep me entertained for a while.

Ah, news to me. That sucks... I didn't preorder a copy but I was looking forward to it. This reminds me of the rant I just read over at Penny-Arcade.com about the "weak pre-order/game shortage or delayage dilemma."

I always used to figure you could skip pre-ordering and then just show up early at the store and the guys I know at Gamestop usually keep a few "free" copies behind the counter that are up for grabs first-come first-serve. Actually, it's not always a few. The other day I called the store up and asked if they had SC2 for Gamecube and the guy said yeah, 1 copy left. Naturally, when I got there there was at least a dozen. I was gonna buy it anyway but that's rotten business... but I guess it's also kinda funny.

Is it out in Japan already?
How did its sales go?

I think the delay might be due to the delays it got in Japan, plus translations too.

i call the big one bitey.

Yeah me too. Now it's been changed on PGC's release list too. Crap, I've already forgotten the actual date they posted, but I think it was Jan 1 or 7. They look so much alike.

They said the earliest would be December and the latest is January.  This was the game I wanted most for the rest of the year.

Heh, more like late January... 2027.

Remember, we never got Harvest Moon 64 released here, I have a feeling Natsume will blow us off once again.

You're in luck because some sites have already confirmed that Ubi Soft, not Natsume, will release the game in Europe.
