Remember Lionhead Studios colorful shooter announced some time ago? Well, Unity has finally shown itself with the first ever movie footage. It looks awesome.

It certainly looks amazing, but I can't tell what it is you DO in the game- the videos are just of someone going through a really long neon tunnel.

it's a shooter like N20
but only like 100,000,000 times better

if you haven't seen N20, take a look at it to get a small idea of what Unity is like

Looks weird.  I never had too much interest in this game in the first place.

Something tells me that this game is going to attract the junkie-raver crowd to the camecube! Untapped Wallets for Nintendo!  So far it looks cool, but does it play good? hope it does

Man I can't wait! I've been a lurking on Jeff Minter's blog and forum for months now, waiting for any little tidbit about Unity and finaly we get some video. I looks like an interactive Stan Brakhage film--cool!

I'm just dying to see how far Jeff will go with the GameCube's TEV pipeline. Unity might be the showcase piece for the GC's strange texturing abilities.

mr. joeamis:

Nah, I've been on the forums for several months.  I'm a bit of a lurker, but do get my old butt in gear when talk turns to classic games or if someone says something insane in another "Nintendo is dying" thread.

After loading 5 Unity clips and seeing nothing but what appeared to be Jerry Garcia's final colonoscopy, I felt something needed to be said...

Big Doors fan myself.  As for L.A. Woman, the gods themselves could not have created a finer driving tune.  Wonderful way to say goodbye to Mr. Morrison on a crisp fall day with my foot to the floor and my ears bleeding.  Shame - Jimi, Janis, Jim, and a host of others die young and a hack like Fred Durst will live to be 100.
