How the heck do you get Bowser Jr. in MG:TT???

I've looked around on various sites and they say to beat the ring mode with one character. Well I did and got Shadow Mario. And for Shadow Mario they say get every badge in the tournament. Well I did that too!! Or do they mean i need to get badges for the star tournament too?? Someone please help, i need to complete the character selection screen! Thanks

EDIT: I hope tpo dear god the source at IGN is wrong when it says complete the 18 hole birdie challenge!! Finishing the front and back nine was hard enough with no continues, but to do both on one run?? This is going to take a really long time, I may never get Bowser Jr! Anyone have him?

Well yeah i know that. But both Shadow Mario and Bowser Jr are in the game. Obviously you haven't played the game if that is what you post for an answer.

Beat all ring challenges with a character I think.

And who cares the title isnt that bad.. he is only a secret character lol nothing that will turn you away from buying the game

i said at least in mario sunshine....that was an implificaiton.....implification denotes that it coudl be different in mario golf. Kids these days don't understand double meanings.

but i did beat all ring challenges. beat em all with mario.  and geez you guys, it's a sports game, you honestly care about spoilers?? it's just how to unlock characters. I guess i can see your point if you dont know who the secret charcacters are, but i see spoilers more for plot revealing things in games.
