Nintendo's new action RPG for 3DS has been announced, and it's from the veteran developers at Grezzo.

Ever Oasis is a game set in a barren desert that involves creating an oasis and fighting into dungeons to protect the village. During the Treehouse Live presentation, a three-member party was shown for dungeon exploration.

The producer/director for the game is Koichi Ishii, who worked on early Final Fantasy titles as well as the Mana series before founding Grezzo.

According to Nintendo's E3 site, Ever Oasis will release next year.

Looks interesting enough, the combat looks very basic but I guess the appeal comes from building up your oasis and maximizing profit. The Noots totally look like Nopon, both owl/penguin combos.

The characters are adorable and that boss they fought at the end looked really cool. This wasn't what I was expecting, but the gameplay looks it has potential and I'm looking forward to seeing more of this game.

A little more cutesy then I would like but then most 3DS RPGs have pretty cute visuals so I don't know what I should be expecting.  I wasn't expecting an action RPG but it looks promising.  Maybe it can somewhat fill the void left by the Fantasy Life sequel going mobile.  The town building sounds cool.

Like with most RPGs on the 3DS I would love to play a demo first.

Looks cool, only good thing to come out of E3 this year I think anyway.

this game is kinda like... a more nintendo-ish take on a mana/Recettear hybrid.

Also, I'm loving the design of the lizard gals. they're kinda like lanky animu Kobolds.
