Now that is a lot of games.  Screw this "Arcade Classics with 6 games" BS.  THIS is how you do a compilation.  If more companies did this I wouldn't be so down on ports.  One concern I have though is that they only mention 1-2 players.  Shouldn't Gauntlet have 4 players?

Now if only a company like Capcom or Konami did this sort of thing.  I would love to have Konami's old X-Men and Simpsons arcade games finally released on a console with four player support of course.  Or a collection of all of Capcom's beat-em-ups!

That's awesome, and they put a respectable number of games on a disk!  The only thing I want to know is: which ones are the arcade versions and which are the NES because Toobin' and most of the others were 10 times better in the arcades.

If they would add Mortal Kombat 1-3, then I'd surely go for it.

If they added Mortal Kombat 1-3, they'd have to rate it an M. ...Well, I guess a T with today's standards.

I do remember Smash T.V. being a bit violent, and with a name of a game like "Satan's Hollow", it does make you wonder (not that it matters either way) if this'll get an E or a T rating...

But ultimately this collection kicks complete arse, and at the very least I'm getting a copy for my sister, who I remember played some of these games constantly.

I would imagine that they are all ports of the arcade originals.

Something tells me that "DVD content" means that you can put the disc into your DVD player (or just the DVD player mode on the PS2 and XBox), and you can watch all the interviews and stuff.

Which gives me the nagging feeling that they'll just crop all of it completely out of the GameCube version, and blame it on the "inferiority" of the GameCube discs.

Or include an extra DVD in the case, and whine about how much it's costing them to do it, while completely ignoring any piracy benefits.

Edit: And/or whine about how easy it is to pirate a standalone DVD potentially included with the GameCube version.

Really?

I would think that since it is also being released for the PS2 and X-Box that they would be arcade ports instead of Nintendo ports. I guess we'll know more in a few months.

Star Wars: Rogue Leader - Rogue Squadron II featured DVD-like extras that were accessed through the game's menus.

omfg, i want this! even my mum would want this! she played toobin' (or atleast tried to) on our old amiga 500, which i should hook up again..

I'm pretty sure it'll be arcade ports. the PSX had a similar arcade complimation with Gauntlet in it, and yes, they were all arcade ports. Sadly, it only featured 2 player in it. Which is probably why most of the other ones are 2 player only. Its a sad exsclusion, but the bonus stuff sounds very very VERY appetizing. If I have the money, I'd definatley get this.
