A second set of covers will grace New 3DS systems very soon!

Another New Nintendo 3DS cover plate that features Nintendo's beloved The Legend of Zelda series is coming to Japan, Nintendo has announced.

The new design features a pattern of small triforces on top, while the bottom has Hyrulian writing and the iconic crest.

This second set of covers is coming out on April 2 in Japan. Sadly, a release date has not yet been announced for Europe or Australia.

these faceplates look best on the black new3ds. i'll probably go with the black version, but am still not sure.

I lost all interest in the New 3DS once Nintendo decide to tell North America "F*** you". I don't want the XL, it's too bulky to be portable and is overpriced. I want the regular one. Nintendo must not want my money because I am not gonna buy the XL (which also means I won't buy any games exclusive to the New 3DS).

I am sure it will release later this year. Perhaps when the next big 3DS title comes out (Summer? Fall?). Who knows, we could see it release for Xenoblade 3D/X in a sort of cross over promotion for both games.


I am sure Nintendo knows they would be leaving money on the floor by not releasing it at some point. They probably want to clear out more of the regular 3DS stock. For sure in time for next holiday season we'll see it come out.
