Anybody watch X-Play on Tech TV?
« on: June 21, 2003, 02:15:33 AM »
Man, I'm very sad how the show turned out these days, not to mention the message boards are just in terrible shape (Some of the worst lamers I've ever seen) however, the show has gotten some strange useless 'extreme' feel to it, makes me wish that Extended Play still existed...

i never was a huge fan, and i only saw it once or twice (i'm not a big tech tv fan, the only other show i like is screensavers).  but then i had a glimpse of only half of an X-play episode... horrible, horrible decision.  it reminds me of the Xbox, going "mature" to try and get more veiwers.

Is it as stupid as Burly Bear TV's gaming show?

I used to watch that show way back when. I stopped liking it lately because it pretty much became a review only show instead of being a show about everything video games. I watched like 5 mins of its new incarnation known as X-play and promised my poor brain I would never watch that piece  of crap again.

I really don't see the point in watching it if you have the internet anyway. I can find tons of reviews and tons of gaming news. Not to mention stuff that isn't 2 months old and I don't have to wade through games I could give two sh!ts about.

If the show was set up like the Screen Savers only focusing on video games exclusively and was of the same length of time it might actually be decent.
