NEED MULTIPLAYER GAME

Got my gcn a while ago, and so far i only have metroid prime.  GREAT GAME. i scanned everything, up until meta ridley, forgot to scan him and i saved in the impact crater!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH not cool.  anyway my friend is selling his gcn and i can get an semi-new controller for 8 bux so im shopping for multiplayer games.  so which is better by personal reviews, id like your own opinions plz, timesplitters 2 or SSBM? i had the n64 so im no newbie to SSBM, ive played mellee, soooo fun.  but i want a first person shooter (that has multiplayer) priceing is TS2 for 22.24 and SSBM is 32.24.
