I really do love his thesis though. To sum up, these are the Nintendo World Report Forums where we can experience the true fun of Nintendo World Report. However, anyone and their dog can know and talk about the various bits of information Nintendo World Report has posted or made regarding video game topics. So, screw that. Let's get these forums discussing what really matters. How to get rid of rodents.
Now, to a layman, this may seem like he is just talking about a real-life rodent in a physical house. But he's actually using rodents in a figurative sense to illustrate the pests found on these forums or the "house" in his analogy. So, for many forum users, they would classify such pests as Ian Sane or Chozo Ghost or Crimm. Personally, I don't think anyone here is a pest except Spak-Spang because I'm an open-minded kind of guy. Anyways, using the metaphor of a rodent getting into a house, it demonstrates how it is easy for a pest to get on these forums but getting rid of them is the very challenging part. Not content to stay low and in one small section of the forum, they instead pollute the whole place, high and low with their prescence. And why do they do this? For reasons both on and off of the forums. They like to annoy people, they are upset that other people are happy and they are not, they like to revel in pointing out failures and make themselves look better. Just an all around brilliant analysis.
Unfortunately, while highlighting such similarities, the post lacks the reason for its existance. It doesn't tell us how to get rid of the rodents. What is the comparable mousetrap we can use against the rodents on the forums? Because of such an oversight, I cannot give this post top marks and therefore rate it a C out of 5.
