The 3DS eShop masterpiece is getting a wonderful Wii U facelift.

WayForward Technologies is bringing an HD remake of Mighty Switch Force to the Wii U's eShop--and they'd like it to be a launch title. 

Nintendo Power revealed the game in an interview with Wayforward Technology's Matt Bozon. The team is going back to the game's original promotional as a base for the new cel-based animation which, compared to the original 3DS sprite art, looks amazing. This will be the complete version of Mighty Switch Force that was just updated for the 3DS eShop including the bonus missions and retry feature. Bozon also hinted at more new content if they have time. Interestingly, the biggest challenge for the developers was rethinking some of puzzles to fit on a widescreen display.

This is where I again beg for a "Zero Suit" sprite for Patricia Wagon.

Bozon ended the interview saying they'd have even more to announce for Wii U and 3DS in the future.
