Guys, I'm pretty sure Aaron is pissed at me for some unknown reason, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to refrain from telling you how much more awesome my life is than yours because I'm a (not technically) professional game journalist, at least for a while. Which is a shame, because I think of these forums as a family, and if there's one thing families do, it's make each other feel worse about themselves for little or no legitimate reason.

PROTIP: Large beers are roughly the same size as two bottles, meaning that in reality the three I've had are nearly a six pack. That little oversight, as well as the margaritas we had at the press event, have led to a less than ideal situation in the San Francisco airport.

While he may have been joking and/or drunk, Neal just gave me permission to do an NWR feature on how much Gary Bettman sucks, and I intend to make him regret that. I'd like to collect here all of your nonconstructive criticisms, libelous claims and personal attacks on the worst commissioner in the history of professional sports (but only because I'm pretty sure FIFA doesn't technically have anyone with the title of Commissioner).

He's not much worse than David Stern. It just happens that Stern is also a Sith Lord. The powers of the Dark Side provide him all the protections he needs.

Stern may be evil and ruthless, but he's competent. You wouldn't argue the NBA works (or not so much this year) despite David Stern, but I would absolutely say that about the NHL and Bettman.

And he and his entire organization are horrible. I love the sport but they do a terrible job of overseeing it.
