Nintendo released a number of new videos for Super Mario 3D Land including the first two Japanese commercials. Among the over 5 minutes of footage, you get a peek at the Boomerang power-up, Mario's arsenal of moves, and desert level footage. Watch all the videos below.

All right, now I'm excited. I was worried there was no long jump. The lack of a long jump (among other things) greatly diminished my enjoyment of Sunshine. It doesn't look as long as Galaxy's or 64's, but it's there. I also think the speed of Mario looks fine. When you're holding the run button, of course. The levels look great. There was even a Crush-esque puzzle in there. I wonder how much of those will be in there.

I have confidence this will be full of the usual joy that only Mario games can bring.

I'm almost positive that Sunshine has a long jump.

Sunshine does not have a long jump. I just 100% that game, and I got every single stinkin' blue coin! I know because I couldn't long jump to any of them... You just can't in that game.
