Monster Hunter 3G English Manual at TGS
« on: September 16, 2011, 02:53:53 AM »

See how the upcoming 3DS game controls in these pictures from TGS.

Capcom had an English manual for their Monster Hunter 3G demo at Tokyo Game Show 2011, despite lack of official plans for international release. The game was revealed at last Monday night's Nintendo 3DS Press Conference.

Monster Hunter 3G is a complex game, as demonstrated by a multiple page manual for the TGS demo. The manual describes the three demo areas (tundra, island, and volcano) and basic controls including the new touch screen controls, but not those for the second Circle Pad. It also describes camp information and has details for several weapons.

Photos of the manual follow. Click to enlarge or check the gallery below for alternative shots.

Nice to see the Gunlance, Hunting Horn, and Bow returning. They are interesting weapons, and also the Hunting Horn provides buffs.

I glad that there's an optional target camera lock-on. Hopefully you will still be able to pan the camera when there are multiple monsters and have it snap back to the targeted monster.

I would hope the fact there was an ENglish manual means they are just waiting for a different date to release this in the US.

I wish the pictures where clearer and didn't have the reflections.
Its good to know some of the details but, I really like to read weapon use descriptions but there a little to blurry.

Yea, can someone with more experience with this stuff comment on this?

Shouldn't this practically be a confirmation of localization?

I mean, I know Japanese stuff almost always has SOME English.  But this looks like 100%!

I thought about this but I believe this is the case that Capcom knows that there will be international press there and English is the most commonly understood language internationally.  I wouldn't read into it more than that.
