Resident Evil 3
« on: August 18, 2003, 03:26:55 PM »
I have RE0, RE, RE2, and RE3 on my Cube.  I just wanted to comment that after all these years RE3 still looks pretty good.  It looks dated, but good.  I had never played RE3 until I picked it up for my Cube, and didnt realize how big of a jump it made over RE2.  The pre-rendered backgrounds in RE3 actually pretty impressive.   I would recommend this one to anyone like myself who never had a PSX, and enjoyed the remake and RE0.

yeah re3 is a pretty good game and has alright graphics
but it still isnt worth the 40 bucks on the gamecube right now- maybe if they bundled re2 and 3 together it would be, but not seperate- it is a good game though, and definately worth checking out if you liked any of the other re's- personally i love 2

Yea, RE2 was very good, but my personal favorite right now is RE the ramake.  The Mansion is just hella creepy, and the crimson zombies are crazy.  The one thing I like, and hate at the same time in RE3 is NEMESIS.  You never know when he's gonna come out of no where and attack, so your always on edge.  He's kinda like Jason from Friday the 13th, you can knock him down, but he's gonna get back up, so run.  I wonder what RE4 is gonna have in store for us?

yeah by far the remake is probably the scariest of the re's thus far- the mansion is a great setting and the crimsoms are scary as all hell- i hate that scream that they have- and you know when they are coming at you- you hear them run
re4 looks very interesting thus far- i like this hook weilding thing that they have in the clips thus far- he reminds me of the nemesis a lot- seems to come from nowhere- and the graphics to the game are the best i have seen thus far on any system bar none
i hope re4 lives up to the hype i am putting on it- i really want a good and scary game from this

My favorite Resident Evil thus far is Resident Evil 0, and #2 shortly after that.  I never really liked Resident Evil 3 that much.  It just wasn't my style.

I personally wouldn't buy it, unless you have never played it before.  It's just not worth the $40.

I think you know the game I mean

i keep meaning to buy 3, just finishing up  part 2's second story.
remake is by far my fav  followed close by 0. a bit short it seemed though.

looking forward to 4 , will it be out in 2003 or 2004?

Last I heard, Capcom is aiming to have a playable version at E3 2004, with a Japan release soon after (June/July?)- so we're probably a good year away from it's release here in the US. I'd say a Fall 2004 is the earliest we would see it here.

I loved RE3 mainly because of one thing, the Nemesis.  The guy gave me nightmares for weeks and scared me to death everytime I met him.  RE Zero would be my favourite, but there weren't any memorable moments or enemies(especially the guy in white).  My list goes:

RE2
RE3/RE Zero
RE: CV
REmake
