With so many great Wii games coming in the next year, it will be hard to find time to play them all!

You guys should do one of these features every 6 months or so.:)

Epic Mickey
and DKCR are on top of my list for Wii games. With Dragon Quest IX and Golden Sun:Dark Dawn I am excited for the second half of the year. Not to mention any games I missed the first half of the year which is plenty.

While everyone expected more Mario sports games, I'm sure no one expected a new console Mario sports game from Square Enix.
I actually sort of expected a Wii sequel to Mario Hoops on the DS. And it looks I was sort of right.

Haha, someone at NWR forgot to renew your security certificate. When I clicked on the talkback link I got a message saying that the link was potentially dangerous and it said this:

www.nintendoworldreport.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate expired on 6/24/2010 4:12 PM.

I love Metroid, but I have no confidence in Metroid: Other M based on what I have seen. I watched the Iwata Asks about Donkey Kog Country Returns, apparently the president/CEO of Retro Studios worked on the SNES DKC games and had actually approached Kensuke Tanabe about wanting to do a new DGC game; when Miyamoto said he wanted a new DKC game he asked Tanabe which studio he though would be best, Tanabe remembered the discussion with Retro and recommended them.

Metroid: Other M is a mixed back for me, on one hand i liked what Retro had done with it, on the other hand I really liked Super Metroid. Its kinda funny if you think about the uproar of Metroid getting turned into a first person game, and how theres a reverse uproar for it being unturned into an fps game. Other M looks like a 2.5d Super Metroid game running on a pretty decent engine.

similar things have happened to Donkey Kong Country, while i wanted retro to do something different, i actually think they are taking the Donkey Kong series in the right direction. As much as i like DK64, i didn't think the game captured the feel of the old game in 3d. A lot of the things that looked really cool in 2d didn't translate to 3d. Still 2.5d could be even better. Prince of Persia for instance is a 3d game, but a lot of times there would be fixed angles and this would make it play a little more like a 2d platformer. When fighting came then the camera would be pretty free. This makes a good mix(pretty much what metroid is doing) The best part of donkey kong 64 was the fighting and stuff, but swinging was really really lame looking in 3d whereas its really really cool looking in 2d.
