BIT.TRIP RUNNER, the fourth game in Gaijin Games' BIT.TRIP WiiWare franchise, has been released in Europe as part of this week's WiiWare downloads. RUNNER will be a rhythm platforming title in which Commander Video, the star of the franchise, runs through the stage. Players must help him avoid obstacles while focusing on rhythmic patterns on screen.

The title is set to be released in North America on May 17, 2010.

If you wonder how rythm and platforming work together, it's a game like Canabalt.

RUNNER also reminds me of Vib Ribbon, the old PSone game from the creators of Parappa the Rapper. I can't wait for RUNNER. It looks to be the best of the entire series.
