Monkeys and the Balance Board do make things better, and these videos prove it.

 Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll will be released soon, and many of us are looking forward to it.

To celebrate, we will showcase all of the trailers Sega has released since they announced it last year.

The first trailer featured no gameplay footage, but the adorable CG footage confirmed that Step and Roll would feature Balance Board control:

You will be using your weight and balance to guide your monkey through the mazes.

Afterwards, Sega focused more on the game itself. In this Tokyo Game Show trailer from last year, Sega showcased Balance Board gameplay. An icon on-screen indicates how the player is shifting his or her weight around for more accurate gameplay:

From then on, Sega kept releasing small trailers featuring some of the new mini-games that will appear in Step & Roll:

Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll will be released on February 9.

Looks kinda fun, but I feel sorry for the people that are going to buy it

Why, Zap?

I didn't know this was out so soon. I am really interested in picking it up, but only after some reviews are out. This series took a nasty turn in the past few years, and hopefully Step & Roll is a return to form.

I'm cautiously optimistic as well. I never played Banana Blitz, but I heard so many bad things about it (the only good thing I heard was that Monkey Darts was insane good) that I plain avoided it.

Step and Roll, however, looks more polished, and since the title wasn't rushed to meet a date it could be an overall better game. Not to mention that Sega can work the Balance Board really well. Its usage in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games has convinced me they can.

Because I can already hear their cries of agony.. the same ones I made during BB.

Sure, they'll have fun with it at first.. and then the level design will turn on them in a brutal and vicious way that would make a pit bull recoil.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.
