I've got a sealed copy of ElectroPlankton. Also a sealed copy of Zelda: TP for the GC. That's about it though.
the Zelda game could be become a true collectible

Its monetary value would never be as high as its entertainment value if one were to open it as one should.

I don't think that you would open a game that has a value of more than $500 ... ^^

Why would it have a value of more than $500 unopened?

If I wanted to play it badly enough I would.
Or maybe I'd sell it and use the money to buy an opened copy.

Games are meant to be opened and played and enjoyed. Only you can fulfill their destiny and complete their purpose.

I still want to know which game, at least a retail game, has a value, to anyone, of $500 when you can't even use it.  Seems like a very poor investment to me.

After a quick search I found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Secret-of-Mana-Super-Nintendo-SNES-FACTORY-SEALED-NEW_W0QQitemZ280391474245QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Games?hash=item4148a25c45&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

A sealed copy of Secret of Mana which sold for over $1,200. Absolutely ridiculous.
