EA releases a bunch of Wii games, Nintendo's Punch-Out!! hits, and 25 more songs get added to Rock Band 2's Wii Music Store.

 The Wii gets a lot of love this week with the releases of Nintendo's Punch-Out!!, EA's Boom Blox Bash Party and EA Sports Active.    

The DS gets a few release of its own, such as the delayed release of Empire Interactive's Jagged Alliance and Koei's Puchi Puchi Virus.    

Guitar Hero: World Tour gets another three songs from European bands, and Rock Band 2 adds a whopping 25 songs for the second week in a row.

Boom Blox Bash Party    Publisher: EA   Cost: $39.99   ESRB Rating: E   Release Date: May 19       The sequel to last year's critically-acclaimed title, Boom Blox Bash Party is once again directed by Steven Spielberg and features the physics-heavy gameplay of the original.  It also adds new environments that affect gameplay, and the ability to create stages using the same tools the developers used.  Created stages can then be shared with friends without the need for friend codes.

   

   

         

EA Sports Active    Publisher: EA   Cost: $59.99   ESRB Rating: E   Release Date: May 19       EA takes a stab at the fitness genre with EA Sports Active. A key innovation is the addition of exercise routines featuring a leg strap that tracks the player's movement with the Nunchuk. Resistance Bands are also included in the package, and the Balance Board is used to detect balance and movement in crucial exercises.

   

   

         

Punch-Out!!    Publisher: Nintendo   Cost: $49.99   ESRB Rating: E10+   Release Date: May 19       After a 15-year hiatus, Little Mac returns in Punch-Out!! for the Wii. The new title features classic and new characters, both motion and classic controls, multiplayer (a first for the series), detailed graphics, and many more hidden secrets for both veteran and new players to discover.

   

   

         

Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock    Publisher: EA   Cost: $29.99   ESRB Rating: T   Release Date: May 19       Extend your Rock Band experience even further with Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock, which features bands such as Boston, The Police, Lenny Kravitz, Pat Benatar, The Who, and more.

   

   

         

Secret Files: Tunguska    Publisher: Deep Silver   Cost: $29.99   ESRB Rating: T   Release Date: May 19       In the tradition of classic point-and-click adventures, Secret Files: Tunguska features a cinematic presentation with realistic animation. The gameplay allows optional Nunchuk use and scrollable backgrounds for ease of investigation.

   

   

         

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Wheelie Breakers    Publisher: Konami   Cost: $39.99   ESRB Rating: E10+   Release Date: May 19, 2009       Motor Bikes and magical cards are combined to deliver an adrenaline rush with Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Wheelie Breakers. Based on the hit anime, players can summon over a hundred monsters from their decks, each with their own unique attacks and abilities. Winning races can net even more cards for your deck and help you become the ultimate dualist.

Jagged Alliance    Publisher: Empire Interactive   Cost: $29.99   ESRB Rating: E   Release Date: May 19   Due to the sudden closure of Empire Interactive, Jagged Alliance was delayed to this week at the very last minute.       Based on a classic PC game released in 1994, Jagged Alliance is an explosive fusion of role-playing and turn-based tactical combat that allows players to become fully immersed in their characters.

   

   

         

Math Blaster in the Prime Adventure    Publisher: Majesco     Cost: $19.99   ESRB Rating: E   Release Date: May 19       Players master math skills in a variety of brain-busting categories including addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Whether they are competing with a friend in four-player Battle Mode or testing their computation abilities in Challenge or Adventure modes, players must put their math skills to the test.

   

   

         

Puchi Puchi Virus    Publisher: Koei   Cost: $19.99   ESRB Rating: E   Release Date: May 19       Puchi Puchi Virus does not resemble an ordinary puzzle game. The goal is to form at least a single triangle formation by linking viruses together and erasing them from the screen. Rock Band 2 didn't have any covers, the original had a few. Some of the early DLC tracks for the original were covers, including that particular song which came out as DLC on the HD consoles last January.
