Launching in just one month, The Munchables will feature multiple modes and co-operative enemy consumption. http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/previewArt.cfm?artid=18322 Earlier this year, Namco-Bandai revealed The Munchables, a brand new game for Wii that combines the gameplay elements of Pac-Man and Katamari Damacy. The game centers around the titular characters, Munchables, creatures that are always hungry. Their home planet has been invaded by evil space pirates, which resemble fruits, vegetables, and chocolates that are lead by Don Onion.
As mentioned earlier, the gameplay mimics Katamari Damacy as the more enemies a Munchable eats, the bigger it grows. With over 150 different enemies, such as the Eggplanter, Space Shroom, and the Riceballer, players will have a wide variety of enemies to eat. In addition to the standard enemy set, players will face off against eight different bosses. Not only will players be able to tackle the game alone, they will also be able to do so with a friend as the game features co-operative play.
Aside from the game's standard mode, players will have two other gameplay modes, reverse mode, and time attack mode, at their disposal. Players will also have the ability to customize characters with over a dozen accessories. Finally, the game will feature twenty-seven different songs that can be played by a Munchables band, and five different movies that will show players the world of the Munchables.
The Munchables will be released in North America on May 26.
