OK, before I listen to the show, is it any of the following?

Greg "Hayley" Leahy
Greg "Heelay" Leahy
Greg "Orian" Leahy
or possibly Greg "Theodore Logan" Leahy?

Let me know if I'm even close.

Sweet! I loves me some radio trivia. I feel like this podcast doesn't get enough praise sometimes, but it's always a fun listen. There's some excellent videogame music out there, and it's fun to be reminded of songs from games I haven't played in years, as well as hear songs I've never heard before. (I've got a short list accumulating of games to find simply because I liked their music featured on these podcasts.) I look forward to listening to the new episode this weekend. Keep up the good work!

I'm afraid I didn't know any of the games this go-around, but I still really enjoyed the music selection.

As always, I enjoyed it, TYP!

Game 1: I had no idea that Sonic Adventure's Twinkle Park music came from this game. Neat-o.

Game 2: As soon as its second song started, I knew exactly what it was. I remember being really excited when this came out, as I had always enjoyed the original's ridiculous violence and controls. (and dinosaurs!) It's been a long while since I played either of them. While it would be nice try game 2 again, it sounds like it wouldn't hold up much at all now. It's weird, but I don't remember the framerate issues (I do remember the too-rare save points). And while I got frustrated with the original Turok's jumping sections, I still worked my way through them. It's funny the things you ignore / tolerate in your games as a child.

Game 3 was killing me - it sounded so familiar! - until song 3, that is. Of the three songs featured, the soundtrack's inspirational source was clearest in that one. Man, what great music.

Games 4 and 5: I... got nothing.

Another good episode. Keep it up!

I liked the discussion about Game 2.  Greg did me proud on that one -- it's a game I have defended sometimes.

The music for Game 3 made me want to play it again.  I'm glad I wasn't on this episode, as I kept thinking, "this was composed by Tim Burton!"  Ugh, embarrassing.

Game 3 has awesome music, but I was surprised at the first song because I have yet to listen to it in the game haha. It's a great puzzle game too.

Game 4... ZOMG fond memories of it from my childhood. It was funny how TYP made the sound effect (twice) (mark 53:23) for when you fall off the playing field hahahaha, and then came song #2 which is immediately recognizable for me.

My soul was crushed by Game 2, after all the hype, the expensive accessory - I got bored of it after a week!!

Turning on all the cheats helped make it a little bit more fun, but still......terrible level design, crushingly difficult and the multiplayer couldn't hold any of my friends attention for more than 3 minutes. ("when are we just going to play Goldeneye?" was usually soon heard soon afterwards)

Great weapons and music though!

Thanks everyone. This episode had a bizarre selection, but it worked out. Yeah, Sonic 3D Blast has two songs that were reused in Sonic Adventure; I played Game 2 after the "sequel" in question and was similarly surprised.

Caliban: I wasn't making the sound effect.  I was going "Hmm...." but I can sort of see how it could be misinterpreted by someone who's listening for that noise. (Islam is the light.)

LOL I listened to that part twice, with a few days apart, and it still sounds the same to me.

Edit: Listened to it again. That "Hmm" was Greg's, and you did do the sound effect... or I'm just loosing my mind which is more likely than not.

I think this may be a good source for RetroActive game nominations. I want to Nominate Turok 2 but I already nominated the first.

I like the show (this is my first episode). I get really into it when I listen in the car; shouting guesses out loud.
