First Description of WiiWare's Wild West Guns
« on: July 07, 2008, 10:27:19 PM »
Gameloft's third WiiWare title was first listed on the ESRB website, but it is Japanese magazine Famitsu who gives the shooting game a release date and price.
 http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=16291

 A recent issue of Famitsu contained the first details of the upcoming WiiWare game Wild West Guns, tucked into the bottom-right corner of a page. Developed by Gameloft, Wild West Guns is a gallery-style shooting game where the player acts "as a wild west gunman" and picks off targets in a traditional western setting. Wild West Guns will also support up to four players working cooperatively to "destroy the enemy." Famitsu labels the game with a July 22 release date in Japan and a price of 1000 Wii Points.

Wild West Guns first appeared when the title received an ESRB rating (Teen – for violent content) which was summarily listed on the ESRB website. However, a search conducted through Gameloft's website yielded no information on the game or previous titles. This could mean that, unlike Gameloft's cell phone port of Block Breaker Deluxe, Wild West Guns looks to be an original title. It will be Gameloft's third addition to the WiiWare library in as many months.

Thanks to KDR_11k and Maxi on the NWR forums for the tip!

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Personally, I think it's a testament to WiiWare that Gameloft is creating original content instead of porting over slews of titles from their mobile games library.

It's probably a straightforward gallery shooter, like a Wild West style Virtua Cop or something. I'm really hoping that it's not just shooting beer cans off fences.

It's actually Bill's thread too, it's just that the news broke when KDR and Maxi were the ones manning it!

Famitsu has the first screens of the title I know of. Pretty stylistic, not just bottles but also flying sombreros and human baddies... and even a screen of a melee combat encounter ala RE4 Wii or CoD3 Wii?

Any Wild West game being brought to a Nintendo platform is enough to make me happy.  Even lame ones like Call of Juarez would be fine with me.

Not just flowers,I love them all like weeds and     veget
able.

I want to do garden forever.

i might seriously consider picking this up. I have two Nyko Perfect Shots.

Also it might be fun to buy such a racist game.

I haven't seen that stereotypical mexicans and native americans like that in YEARS.
