I just got an email from Amazon.com that starts like this:
Dear Amazon.com Customer,
As an Amazon.com customer in Oregon, you might like to know that you can now subscribe to Texas Monthly magazine for just $15.00--that's 75% off the cover price.
There are at least two things wrong with this. First, I live in Texas, and they should know this by now after shipping so many packages to my address
in Texas. Second, if I did live in Oregon, why would I even want a magazine about Texas?
I'm really worried why they think I'm in Oregon. Do my tastes in games and movies track well with Oregonians? I always figured I was safe after reading Svevan's
elitist blathering insightful treatises.
