Topic: The Sticker Topic (Sticker, SSE, Character Spoilers!)

So I thought we might want a topic about stickers in general, what they are, what they do, how you find them, sticker challenges, and all that jazz.

Most specifically, I thought this topic would be good for showing SSE sticker set-up, especially as the game is released in North America.  So far, from what I've played, it basically seems impossible to get through SSE on Intense without stickers, so I thought posting great set-ups and maximizing space on trophies might be a great idea.

Of course, since the game is only in Japanese right now, it's tough to say exactly what all the stickers do, but you can tell a few by pictures of the English version, and beyond that, you can tell when they do different things, and some of the stickers seem to imply specific use, like the Maxim Tomato seems to increase your healing through items, judging by size and the numbers.

Also, it's Tetris-like addicting fun to get stickers on a trophy just perfect, and I thought I'd mention that stickers that have previously been stuck to the trophy can still be moved around later on without penalty, making finding the amount of space you want possible, but truly challenging.  I'll probably show the four-five trophy bases I have unlocked right now once I finish with stickers on them later in the day.  I've been trying to avoid using the last of the stickers when only one of a type remains, so I may not always have a sticker where another can be.  Ask any questions you want, and I'll try to answer them until the game gets into more people's hands, as well, since stickers aren't covered as best as possible anywhere else I've seen.


On rarity--I don't know how to tell a sticker's rarity.  The best I can say is that of the stickers I have, some are duplicates and some are not.  Colored backgrounds, of which we've seen blue, black, and white, probably mean nothing, though I've only seen a few black and one blue one, I've collected duplicates of these, which may mean that they aren't rare.

Maybe sticker color has to do with their effects? Like black is defensive, blue is offensive, red is health-related, something like that?

Nope, so far, the Pikmin stickers (all two of them...) have been blue.  I think it's just an aesthetic thing.

I could spend hours trying to figure out the perfect sticker set-up, though.  It's remarkable.  You could take five stickers of medium size, spread them out wrong, and then lose out on the space of maybe three more.  It's just incredible, to me.  It's like a jigsaw puzzle with no right answer...
