Really? I didn't know that. Is that because Silent Hill 2 sold poorly or because Resident Evil sold well on the Gamecube? I hope it's the latter.

I think it was a little of both.  My source on that was CVXFreak on GameFAQs though I think, so I am not 100% on the reliability of it.  He just seemed pretty sure to me.    He was a little mystified on why Silent Hill 2 hadn't come to GameCube.

Well, you could say that Konami should port SH 2 or 3 to the Cube since it's been shown we do like survival horror games, but you can also say Konami's been holding off because they know Silent Hill can't compete directly with Resident Evil and since Resident Evil is currently exclusive to one console, they'll build up Silent Hill on the other 2 consoles.

Silent hill is some seriously scary stuff.
I think it might be even scarier than Eternal Darkness.

I never got around to playing the second one, and i could never finish the first one (Got to the school, with those scary crying kids trying to eat your legs...*shivers*)  But, I might pick it up if it is indeed coming out for gamecube.
Why would it be announced on that magazine? and not a japanese/american one?  Seems kinda strange to me, considering I'm pretty sure that we would be getting it first regardless, and we would want to know about it first and whatnot *hype sells*

No matter, i hope its true.

the placeholder text was just stupid though O_o, should have at least been believable.

There are plenty of things announced in Europe. GBA SP for one. And a European magazine (Edge) had the scoop on that. GBA as well I think... I might be wrong there though I'm not sure. I hope its true myself... I've emailed them a few times, and hopefully I'll get a reply as soon as the working week starts.

I hope this isn't a cheap and nasty fake. I'd love to see Konami finally port something really decent to GameCube. I'd get this, if Silent Hill 3 wasn't already out on PS2 in PAL territories

Silent Hill has ALWAYS been been better than Resident Evil, in my opinion. It doesn't focus on rubbish like collecting colourful keys, or blowing away the same looking zombie 400 times with stupid over the top rocket launchers and crap. NO. It's a pure horror game.

Silent Hill 2 had me fearing every damn step I took. You could ALWAYS hear strange distorted growls and the dull thumping of machinery in the background. Plus the game is PITCH DARK. It had disgusting scenes, like demon sex...
Nothing seemed real, the characters were never what they seemed. Monsters would appear out of the darkness, spiders would fill the rooms, hell, the main character started to go insane (Not like ED insane )... It was fan-bloody-tastic.

We need SH2 and 3 on GC. NOW

Since when was Eternal Darkness scary? There were maybe 1 or 2 jumpy parts, but it's not supposed to make you scared, like Silent Hill or Resident Evil.

Edge rules! NOM sucks. But if they would include the demo disc, they will be forever embraced. This is your opportunity to do it right now NOM, don't screw it up!

Oh and possible Silent Hill? Yippee!

Well, it was a psychological thriller.  Whereas other games like RE rely on B-rate movie type scares by having stuff jump out at unexpected moments, ED tries to mess with your mind.  If a player can stop screwing around with the game and let it draw the player in, it can have a greater effect, much like movies can do.  A sad movie can get the viewer to cry if it can pull them in, but if they joke around and throw popcorn at people, it doesn't have its effect.  The same goes with ED.

If whatever I just posted sounds rude/hateful/whatever then you probably read it wrong, but I will insert apology here, anyways, just in case.

Heh.  In Silent Hill 3 Trailer 3, I noticed that they included a taste of the new monster rape scene.  It looks to be quite interesting.    Man, do I ever love Silent Hill.

I doubt that this is real. THis is a euro mag? Then why does it have the US ESRB on the Demo disc? Surely they have a different rating system.

Oh, and Konami's too stupid to make a smart decision like that.

Sorry lads, this is an utter fake. The mags editor, or someone commented on it. Silent Hill 3 isn't on GameCube, they just thought it'd be hilarious to make people think it is. Plus the promise of the US demo disc is a big fat lie. They just wanted to see how much Nintendo fans in Europe would pay for the inclusion of a demo. It's not coming out with next months issue.

These guys sure know how to make me laugh -________-

Wow, do they want Nintendo to do well in Europe? Or shoot themselves in the foot?

I dont mind much about SH3 myself, but no demo disc?!? But...its a Nintendo mag, they should!
