Seriously. Have you been to the Matchmaking/Smack Talk forum lately??

Wow, it's actually really active, but I don't recognize anyone. It's kind of like, if you haven't been to the extra bedroom in your house for awhile, and then when you go in one day, there's like SOME WEIRD FAMILY LIVING IN THERE.

EASYCURE: I remember thinking(don't ask me why) this was a blond haired, blue eyed, chiseled athlete. Like he looked like Seigfried before he became Nightmare.

Golden IS a woman...

And my gf used to manage a gaming website as well so it's far from unheard of.

No, Shyguy is right. We must welcome them in. These Pokemaniacs who spill from the primordial ooze of the SmackTalk/Matchmaking forum are the future of Nintendo World Report. As they grow and strengthen their gaming chops, they will branch out from Pokemans and begin to be full-fledged, contributing members of the board with improved spelling and grammar. (I hope) These young hardcore gamers will mix with similarly young casual gamers, and one day, these forums will belong to them.

So, let us welcome them with light hazing fleet-typing fingers of joy and the smiliest of emoticons.

WELCOME, YOUNG GAMERS. WELCOME TO YOUR DESTINY!

Yeah, we probably need to sacrifice a couple of forumers to appease the mob. Any other recommendations?

I actually lol'd at that – one of those suppressed/gulpy/gurgly workplace lols.

Thatguy's right – we have brought one over. Young patchkid survived a lengthy and rigorous introductory period, and has proven himself worthy. But we can't stop there. He is just the first of the pioneers we must welcome in.

The way you describe it I see it more like one of those ghost stories. We are the ones not aware. We are trapped in our own reality and for the most part only communicate with each other. Once in a while one of them manages to cross over for a short period of time, but they can never stay long unless they are too mysteriously trapped while visiting just long enough to get stuck here too.

Meanwhile on the other side, the live side, where everything is active and alive, the living tell tales about how this used to a very active forum but all the posters mysteriously disappeared, and if you visit for too long, you too may disappear to never be seen by the outside world again. Young pokemaniacs & Nsiders may take the warning as a joke and plan little parties where they dare each other to enter, and thats where they manage to cross over for a short period of time, going back to the other side with tales of how nothing was here and everyone was just trippin'. But once in a while one of them tries to return to tell the others how great things actually are in the abandoned forums, only to never actually find their way out. They can see the other members(pokemaniacs/Nsider refugees) but can't ever seem to get through to them communication wise, even though they tend to respond to your actions once in a while.

Its not about the 10,000 Lurkers that inhabit the forums, its really all about the 100 Lingerers that refuse to to be aware of and accept their own fates. That is us, the lingeres. Why won't we just die already?
