Topic: Metroid Prime Gravity Chamber Missle Expansion....

This seems stupid, but I don't know what else to do. I've 98 Percent on Metroid Prime, and can't find the last Missle Expansion. I went through a list, and the only one that I can't 100 percent account for is the Gravity Chamber. But I can't get the grapple hook to give me an icon, at all.  Is there anything I else I need to do? I've gotten rid of the stalactites, I"ve jumped close enough to touch it. I just can't get that Grapple icon to appear. Needle in the haystack, I know, but that's the only place in the whole game where I haven't actually gotten to where the expansion was. Sigh. Any help would be wonderful.

Phendrana Drifts - Gravity Chamber: Use Plasma Beam to blow open the icicles on the ceiling - Right next to the clear chamber with the expansion in it. Use the Grapple Beam to get to the small ledge.

I've cleared the stalagtites, I've uncovered the grapple hook, it just won't give me the icon to hook it with the grapple beam. It doesn't even give me the orange icon, saying I'm to far away to hook it. No reaction at all.  Sound familier at all? Thanks for any help.

Try getting to a location that's both higher and closer than where you are now. You might also try jumping off the ledge to get close enough to the grapple point- I remember having to do this several times throughout the game.

It's a glitch in the game. You either get it the first time or you dont get it. I have the exact same problem and I am an unhappy camper because of it. 98%, like kissing your sister. Oh, I read about the glitch on gamefaqs that way you know im not bullshittin you.

You can still get that expansion if you can pull of some precise jumping.  Check out the appropriate video here for a workaround.  Make SURE you get the codec that's linked from that page first if you don't have it already, or the vid will NOT work.
