Kirby DS

Have you guys seen the new Kirby game that's in development for DS by HAL? It looks absolutely amazing, I just saw a video of it in motion (there's a short clip of it in the 2nd video, the one down the bottom), and i'm amazed! I can't wait to play this game, the touch screen looks like it's used to keep Kirby moving, and it kinda reminds me of Sonic. If you're too lazy to check out the video i'm sure there are some screenshots floating around somewhere. I can't wait to see more of this game!

Take oldschool Sonic, add full-scale freedom of movement, and add Kirby's charm and you get one fantastic idea...And HAL is the best for the job...

Looks pretty interesting so far...
Though I wonder if/how HAL is going to work the trademark Kirby powers into the game.

Wow.  Awesome.

And you know I'm going to have to buy this now, DS and all.  Dammit.
Some of that stuff looked great.  Really looking forward to trying out the DS.

Hal doesn't have to give Kirby all the Kirby powers.  Kirby has been in several types of games, and some of them have limited his powers to very basics needed for that game.

I am excited about this game, and just how it could create an awesome new way to play platformers.

Apparently Kirby gets his powers by killing enemies, he kills enemies by flying into them after you do a crazy loop thingy on the touch screen. The game ONLY uses touch screen controls, and once Kirby gets a power, you tap Kirby and he uses it.
