Topic: Gotta Catch Them All...???

Hello everyone.  This is my first time on the boards, though I've been reading them for a while.  This hasn't been brought up as far as I know, but I wanted to see what you guys thought?  I love PokeMon, it's one of the reasons that I have kept my GBC back in the day.  Now I would never part with R/S or my SP I feel a little let down.  Where is Bulbasaur?  Charmander? Squrtile?  Pidgeotto?  Lugia?  and I could go on and on.  Now, maybe I have missed something and these PokeMon can be found somewhere/somehow, but if I'm correct WHY?  I have played though 5 hours so far and finally got a "GeoDude" I like Mudkip, but other than that I'm not real happy with the PokeMon.  I dunno, maybe it's just me.  I just thought I'd put this out there.  Thanks for readin.  neo

you can get all 380? odd pokemon, just not directly, hopefully you have a gamecube and can get pokemon gcn when it comes out, all the missing ones can be found on there i think

Gamefaqs.com provides a list of all pokemon unavailable to pokemon r/s players, it consists of practically al the pokemon from previous instalments of the series. My suspicion is that to obtain the new pokemon one will need to BUY cards o use through the ecard reader and therefore unlock the pokemon. If pokemon ruby and silver are as popular as their predecssors then nintendo stand to make a hell of a lot of money through pokemon cards alone!
If this is the case, I personally will be quite annoyed, to get the most from pokemon i dont wanna have to fork out loads for an e card reader and then loads more for loads of crumby pokemon cards (that i think are lame).
