Unbreakable...
« on: May 25, 2007, 09:14:28 AM »
I was just looking at this level I have.  One of its selling points is "High Impact plastic frame is unbreakable with normal use".

Now, for those of you who have never used a level, here's how you normally use one.  You take the level (which is basically a flat stick with a little see through tube full of some kind of liquid with an air bubble in it) and place it against a surface that you want to be level.  Then, by viewing the air bubble in the tube and making sure it is inbetween the lines drawn on the tube, you can see if your surface is level.  If not, then adjust the surface until it is level.  Easy, eh?

I don't want to see the levels that are designed so that they break during normal use.  Like, you set the level on the surface and *BOOM*, all of a sudden it explodes, sending shrapnel into your eyes and gonads.  The liquid in the plastic then starts to leak out onto your skin... then begins to eat through it like acid... because it is acid.  Then, just when you think the pain cannot get any worse, angry spirits of the Native Americans who's property your ancestors stole are released from within the level and they get inside your head and cause you to do horrible things to yourself.  Like have sex with Cher or something.

Good thing my level is unbreakable with normal use.  I wouldn't want that to happen.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

Are you suggesting that using the level for some other purpose will make it explode, sending shrapnel, etc.?  Like if you used it as a bookend, for example.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

...is proof that shaman need nerfing in WoW.
"OK, first we need someone to complain about something trivial. Golden or S_B should do. Then we get someone to defend the game, like Bill or Mashiro. Finally add some Unclebob or Pro666 randomness and the thread should go to hell right away." -Pap64

It would have been better if Bruce Willis sung catchy songs to sync up complicated burglaries.

Nice.

On the Bruce Willis subject, should "Live Free or Die Hard" take place in New Hampshire?

No need to do that, I thought it was a very good movie as well. My opinion supersedes Evan's.

I had to return my level after finding out that it lacked an endboss.
