Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. Believe me when I said that if I could do it I would download the pics and upload it on my own webfolder, but been having problems trying to set it up (mainly, the guy that knows the crap is always busy).

And the reason I didn't link it to Go Nintendo was because the last time I did Bloodworth felt a tad annoyed by it, thinking that I was involuntarily promoting that website.

Plus the box art and screens came directly from the Developer's website, so it wasn't Go Nintendo's original story, so I didn't give direct credit to Go Nintendo.

Internet quoting and linking ethics are so convoluted...

True; but the fact remains that RMC's footing the bill here.  Direct linking is against the rules at NWR.  I have a feeling Bloodworth will be more annoyed by this than he would by a link to gonintendo.com.

I don't remember the particular indecent you're referring to, but chances are Bloodworth was "annoyed" because NWR was running the exact same story at GoNintendo.  Since NWR currently doesn't have anything up relating to these games there's nothing you can do but link to another site.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I was talking about the newstory itself, not the images. I agree about the bandwith. Believe me, I UNDERSTAND IT, because I've worked on Cap and S_B's website and I know about the going ons of a site. I didn't feel happy doing it, but I simply don't have my web folder set up and like I said the guy that knows how to work with is too busy working on a personal project, so I don't have the heart to go and bug him about it. It was an act of desperation more than anything. But I won't do it anymore because I ain't happy doing it.

As for the incident, I don't remember exactly what post I made that involved linking to Go Nintendo, but I remember Bloodworth was annoyed because:
- He felt I was "promoting" that website
- He thought I was giving full credit to Go Nintendo when they just found it on another website

I explained to him that I wasn't promoting the website nor giving them full credit. I just thought the topic would make an interesting discussion at NWR and posted the link to it because that's where I found it.

Ninjabread Man's graphics and level design remind me of Chameleon Twist for N64.

I remember in 1997 I visited my cousins (they live a day's drive away) and they had an N64 with two games: Mario Kart 64 and Chameleon Twist.  After we played a lot of Mario Kart I asked what the other game was about.  My oldest cousin said it wasn't that good and that he didn't do much research before buying it.  For some reason his parents where going to buy him a game but he was taking too long in the store so his Mom rushed him along and he bought it without knowing anything about it because the screenshots "looked kind of like Mario 64".  I asked that if he was interested in Mario 64 why didn't he just buy that instead?  He didn't answer.

I finally got this story up. Sorry it took us so long, but I guess everyone was afraid of adding the thirteen game profiles to go with it.  You can see my comments on the games in Talkback.

Also, direct linking to media is always a no-no.  Either put it on your webspace, link to the article where it's found, or don't bother.

You know if you have a URL to a image, you can just plug that into Imageshack and it will host it automatically? More work on your side to do it, but no bandwidth theft going on.

That I didn't know. I would gladly do the work rather than steal the bandwidth.

I will do that next time I want post a pic but can't upload it to my web folder.

Their service works fine for me:

If you guys prefer an alternative that also could have been used for the same purpose, it would probably be better to mention it rather then just complain about Imageshack.
