Radio Free Nintendo - Episode 34
« on: January 10, 2007, 08:00:00 PM »
A slow week of news cannot stop the RFN crew!

I'm posting this from an iPhone! Not really, but wouldn't that be AWESOME?!

Episode 34: The Week the News Stood Still

AAC Format

MP3 Format

You can also listen to the podcast on the good 'ole Odeo!
powered by ODEO

Let's face it: the week of January 1st - January 7th was a total bore. The Virtual Console only released two (awful) games, no notable games were released, and the most interesting story involved Wii-enabled pornography. It's what we in the biz call "crapadocous."

BUT FEAR NOT! I gathered Stan and Steven for a podcast of epic proportions. Through our magnificent talents, we make even the most mundane of the aforementioned a verifiable festival of sound. In addition, we answer listener mail, and discuss what cancelled or forgotten games we'd like to see make a return.

Like always, I demand that you all subscribe to us on iTunes, and leave a lengthy review. And afterwards, I demand that you send us more listener mail. And after that, I demand that you bring me a pony. I've always wanted one of those...

Actually we have a worldwide fanbase, so English doesn't need to be a native language in order to write to us.  However, if English is the writer's native language, we just ask that he or she reread the email before sending it or it's going to sound weird when read over the air.

When are you guys going to update the podcast link on the main page?  It currently stops at episode 27.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

We're ovehauling the entire podcast hub.  It's my responsibilty, I want to be able to have it up by the weekend.  But it's going to take a while.  Thank TYP when it's done for being the brilliant coder he is.

Good; I'm currently stuck at episode 30 because it's not in the hub and I'm too lazy to search through past news.

Thanks, but actually I meant to say episode 30 is the next one I need to listen to.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

The best part about listening to the podcasts after they've been release is we get to laugh when Karl says something that's completely wrong.

Well, that didn't happen.

I just finished listening to episode 34.  You guys better start releasing them faster or else I'm going to catch up.
