Radio Free Nintendo - Episode 32
« on: December 28, 2006, 03:30:56 PM »
The Pirates return to discuss how they're not playing the Wii or enjoying any of the fruits of the Virtual Console.

O wretched state! O bosom black as death!

Episode 32: Men Without Wiis

AAC Format

MP3 Format

In a move too stupid to be true, I take the reigns from Karl and decide to demonstrate once and for all (again) why I never host Radio Free Nintendo.

Karl and I return as the lovable pirates and discuss all manner of things we know little to nothing about.  Allow your jaws to drop in utter horror as we have absolutely nothing to say about the Forecast Channel.

In fact, we're in such a sad state that we end up discussing what we're not playing.  And since--at the time of recording--neither of us had a Wii, it becomes a rather pathetic pity party between us.

In the end we discuss the potential drought the Wii may or may not face.  Then we take forever to say goodbye so as not to forget any major holiday this season.

Enjoy the podcast and enjoy Coca-Cola.

I've got both versions of Twilight Princess and neither is "superior" really. They both have their strengths (i.e. aiming in the Wii version as opposed to full camera control in the GCN version) and you really couldn't go wrong with either. Though I'd have to recommend the Wii version overall.

And YouTube does work on the Wii.

DUDE! Stop the graphics card hate! WoW is WOW (7 million subscribers) BECAUSE it can run on low settings, it can run on integrated graphics and yesterday's 800 mhz CPUs... remind anyone of anything?

WoW is the Wii of MMORPGS! It's past-gen, mass market, and BIG!

Crystal Bearers is still in hiding. Will it become vaporware do you think? Or just waiting for the Wii network to come up so it'll be a standard bearer?

No More Heroes: NOT SUCK. SO AWESOME!

Eternal Darkness IS the best boring game I've ever played!

Note: PS3 will not go through a rough software drought. They'll have some major hitters in March: Motor Storm, Heavenly Sword, and who knows what else!?!?

[sings]Stand by your maaaaaaaaan[/sings]

Yeah, MGS 4 will hit 2007 in the winter. Big question: X360 port or no?

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Down with "What your Playing."  Long Live the Original Format.

Hey, Kairon likes Zoo Tycoon.

But I thought Japan liked it.

"Stupid American should learn to read Manuals"...

Karl has no Graphic card... You can't do Vista.  You can't do Smack...

You should take the Counter Strike approach.  Block Models for the Frame Rate Win.

Do they actually Exist?  I mean Videogame Advantage I went to look for the site and it wasn't there.  So if it's not real please bring back a funny ad.  Or make that ad Funny.

Yeah... That was suppose to be are "Surprise" which was terrible because we all knew it was coming.

I've enjoyed it so far.  But it's sort of easy.  I think I must be getting better with my gaming skill with age much like a wine.

Donkey Kong Jr. Math?

I haven't had any problems with them yet.  I like to get R-Type but the 800 points prevented me from getting it.  In fact that price sort of makes me feel a tinge of regret for getting the very good games Gunstar Hero and Super Castlevania.

How do you know the emulators are good.

Though its not current and up-to-date.

Which is cool.  Bad thing I can't use it at my new place.

Read the Forum.

Reggies doing a bad job as President so far in regards to doing what he says.

I like the Wild Fire name better.  Secret Ring reminds me of Onion Rings.

Were did the Funny go?  Into New Funny and Cream?  Bring back the Funny.  This isn't Megatokyo here.

I can't wait for Crystal Bearer.  Also the Wii game but I think it's going to be 2008.

Anyone who is looking forward to Crystal Bearer is fine by me.

*shrug*  DQ9 is getting release later.

Which is funny at one point you could play FF:CC with GCN Controllers but they axed that.

Too Human will never Happen.  It's Dukem Nukem.

You don't even have one.

Capcom... Blah... PSP is them.

Dr. Phil was in Scary Movie 4 so I'm sure he could be bought if need be.

Wow.  I still have a long stream.

What about a Zune?

iTune is one of the bane of my Admin Existence... I'll get a friend to do it.

Actually you get them by just playing the AAC Version with Quicktime.

I want a Golden Stripper.

What about Toy Day?  All the People in Animal Crossing will be disappointed.
Need a Personal NonCitizen-Magical-Elf-Boy-Child-Game-Abused-King-Kratos-Play-Thing Crimm Unmaker-of-Worlds-Hunter-Of-Boxes
so, I don't have to edit as Much.
