HELP! x_x please

How do I do the songs with Wolf Link??

I listen to the stone... I then howl the correct notes, and I keep doing it over and over and over and NOTHING HAPPENS. I even watch the tune again, over what I howled, and it matches.

I'm frustrated because i'm in the Sacred Grove, with no way of progressing because I can't do the Wolf howling to activate whatever it is I need to activate.

What am I missing?? X_X

Are you letting go of the A button (that lets you howl) right when you are finished howling? I think you might need to hold the A button for a little bit longer until the game recognizes the song.

So, I got past that bit, but when I tried the same with other howling posts it won't work. X_X  

I wish it was just an Ocarina...
