That's it! I've had ENOUGH!
« on: December 01, 2006, 06:58:27 PM »
I understand that noobs can get lost and generally have no clue how a forum works...But when they go around making topics on the wrong forums, it annoys me...

In case you haven't noticed, some noobs have been posting around NWR. The thing is, they make off topic threads on the wrong forums, like asking to play Animal crossing WW on the Other systems boards, when a forum for AC WW gameplay is right BELOW it! Or making questionable intro threads on the DS forums...

So let me state it as loud as possible...

NOOBS!!!

READ THE GOD DAMN FORUMS BEFORE POSTING DUMB CRAP ON THE WRONG FORUM!!!!!!!

This is the downside to Nintendo being popular again.

Seriously!  Why can't you all just post ads to your web based pyramid scheme like all the new people did before you?

Dude...

This forums is for posting  UFO Catcher tatsujin videos.  Please post your crazy rants on the right forum.  Thanks.

Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

I'm more worried about the concentrated amount of dumb, regardless of what forum it's posted in.

Even if yo own the actual program ona fixed media you can only make a back up of that program using the same media. Nes roms can only be backed up on NES carts legally.

Other than shrapnel09 I guess I have unintentionally avoided all nooB threads and post, cause I don't recognize any of those quotes. I must be one of the lucky ones...

Maybe we should have our own secret forums, that way the noobs can still read what we type but we only see what the non-noobs type, kind of like a forum within a forum but only a select few can see the good from the bad.

Wasn't there a super secret wrestling forum on here once upon a time? I found it once.

Vote for Treize Khushrenada. Sure, his posts are long winded but they make some fine points. Like this one!

Yeah. I've felt the same way as Pap64 has. The gamcube section has pretty much become. There's nothing new to discuss and it seems that's where alot of the new people go to post. I mean, look at the names of those who have started threads. You'll recognize very few. (Unclebob. Who's that?)

Now, at the same time, I haven't felt the need to post anything about it because in time most of them will fade or be gone after their first thread gets locked. (I don't understand why they hate me for not following the rules.) Plus, most people won't really talk to them. Since they get no interaction, they'll still be feeling a hole in their social life that this forum just isn't filling and will move on.

(Hopefully, none of this will apply to Pikachelsea. She just might be the only new person I've seen on the boards who I actually like in a long time.)

Case in point, whoever started the Play Wild World thread. Have you read that thread? The person asks, who wants to play? 1 minute later, yes, that's correct, 1 minute later the person decides to follow up with Anyone?. And then, 13 minutes later, this person pleads for some one to join them. You know what, just one moment, I want to check something.

Alright. Kawaiii-bunny is the name. I wanted to check to see if Kawaii has been back to this forum since posting that thread but the user profile is blocked. Anyways, I have a feeling that after waiting for 15 minutes, (15 minutes I've waited and no reply. I don't understand, I put this thread in the wrong forum, someone should have replied by now. At least to correct me. Man, 15 minutes, I've wasted my whole day.) so, after waiting 15 minutes, kawaii disappeared. Kawaii hasn't posted anything since then. Hasn't acknowledged the person who did give a friend code. Nothing. Personally, I think Kawaii is gone. This site only has 15 minutes to make an impression and it failed. In the meantime, thanks for littering up the forums Kawaii.

However, while it has been fun to tear into someone I've never met before and have no knowledge about, allow me to get to the point of this post. Why I've never felt the need to post anything on this subject before. The reason I'm posting is not for the fun of it. Nor is it to keep my post count going in between mafia breaks. Well, maybe partly that. But also, because you guys are thinking way to hard on how to combat this situation.

Fist of all, quit cutting and running. By not fitting for the forums we have now, we basically give them up to the noobs. Instead we have to go through all the hard work of finding and/or creating a new forum. Well, what's going to happen to the old forum? After the noobs realize they are just talking to other noobs, they will find us at our new forum. And the cycle continues. Secondly, if you do create a new forum, I want in. Finally, here is the answer of this longwinded thread whose thoughts stray occansionally, nay frequently, and who's bizarre asides only make 3 people including the author laugh.

Now, after examing a noob thread, (again, let's use the example of Play Wild World) I have come up with the best strategy to chase away noobs. Play their game. Yes, if Kawaii-Bunny wants people to come join our forums and crap a thread in the wrong forum, gleefully play along. Immediately, crack out any game that they want to play and then torture them though it. So, in this case, Wild World. Go into Kawaii's village and be the biggest pain you can. Insult everything. Spurn all offers of friendship with snotty remarks. Chop every tree. Dig until the ground is holier than the pope. And anything else you can do in Wild World. I personally don't know because I've never played the game. But, that's ok. It leads me to my second tactic. Act like a noob. Yes, start getting into discussions with them and, even if you do know the subject, argue on stuff that you know nothing about. If they do, it will frustrate them to no ends. If a noob wants advice, always give him wrong advice. Still, it should be noted that my first tactic is the best since it happens off boards with no proof of evidence that you did anything to the new person. Heh heh heh. Arguing on the forums does leave a messy visible trail but hopefully, since you are a veteran and they are not, you get a pass.

Oh, and if you're still having problems, I recommend trying the Pro666 approach. Pro is quite good at shutting people down and does so in that noob style. In fact, Pro does it so well, no one dares attack the Pro. Well, that's all from the Khushrenada War Room today. You all have a good night.

I am Treize Khushrenada and I approve this message.
Whoever said, "Cheaters never win" must've never met Khushrenada.

I agree pap, all these new people have seriously walked in and crapped all over the forums. I don't mind people who have something intelligent to add, or say things that haven't been said before. but 99% of people who have posted recently have done nothing productive. That shrapnel guy has started like 10 threads in the Wii forum about VC/Classic Controller stuff, which is just irritating. Not to mention the 25 million component cable threads.

Mods, get that ban stick out, please for the love of god.
