I need more than the 3 save slots Zelda provides

There has to be a way to get more. There just has to. Please tell me there is.

Transfer your saves to an SD card, then erase the saves from the internal flash memory and make 3 new ones. Then copy the saves onto your PC and put them in different folders or something. Just transfer the save back to the SD that you want to use, then copy back to your Wii's internal flash memory. It'll probably be pretty tedious, but it would work.

Just remember to copy your save from the Wii to the SD card and save it to the right place on your PC, and visa/versa when you want to load a particular save.

Back in my day, we had to start a whole game over every time we powered up the NES. AND WE LIKED IT.

You never had to do that with Zelda.

No, we just had to wait until we died to save (or possibly use some strange, poorly-documented combination of buttons.)
That's my opinion, not yours.

Thanks, brandogg. I could probably just skip the step where I put the saves on my pc, right? And just keep them on the SD card?

An SD card has the same limits as the internal memory.  Therefore you can only put 1 save on there as well, so swapping between them would be impossible without the PC step.  The alternative is to have two SD cards.

NINTENDO REALLY NEEDS TO FIX THE SD SUPPORT!

That's probably the only thing I prefer about PlayStation games: 1 save=1 file.  You can have as many saves as you want, limited only by the space on the card.

Not this "3 saves to 1 file" thing going on.  What if I only use one save?  Can't it take just 1/3 the space?  Or what if I need more than three saves and wouldn't mind it taking more space for the convenience of having more of them readily accessible?

(I think ALL games should come with a "replay cool part" option after you finish the game.  Like how Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy let you revisit the cutscenes, I think this should be even easier with prerendered FMVs and not much harder with playable portions like boss battles.  Then it wouldn't take up space on the memory cards keeping saves there that you'd rarely use.

Oops, I guess that defeats the purpose of it.  They WANT you to buy more memory cards.  >_< )

It depends on the game of course. The Resident Evils for the Gamecube let you do that, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the Wii also allows that.
