Wii Online

Alright, sorry if this has been discussed, but I can't find it.

Can the DS USB adaptor get the Wii online? Or will a separate one be needed?

Sweet, good question.

I don't have a Wi-Fi modem in the house, so this was something I was curious about as well.

Anybody know if there is a latency limit?  I'm way too far out to get broadband (Oh, how I miss broadband), so if I'm to download VC games, I'll need to wirelessly send off my dial-up connection.

I dunno, but I can give it a try on my compy. My guess though, is that the install software won't bind to a dialup connection. I think one of the "minimum requirements" is a non-dialup connection.

Thanks 31 Flavas, an early test would be appreciated.  I'll give it a go anyway when I get the Wii and see if I can't get it to work.

Have pity on us poor people who still have dial-up.  Oh please have pity.

Ok, well I can report back that the software for the USB adapter bound to the dial-up connection and worked flawlessly. (although, I only did try Tetris DS)

So you'll have slow downloads, but it looks like you'll be able to use a dial-up connection with the Wii and the USB adapter.
