Launch title ratings

The official ESRB ratings are out on a number of Wii games now.
The new Zelda is rated T for blood and violence. Red Steel is T for violence, language, and suggestive themes. Guess that clears up some particularly unfounded speculation of a M rated Zelda game (whatever happened to Nemo83, anyways?).

No real surprises in any of the ratings. I would assume the "mild violence" in Wii Sports is for boxing.

Did you know that when the DS launched, the launch games had the exact same ratio of E-to-T-rated games as the GBA?  I remember checking the ESRB web site at the time and it honestly worked out to be the same.

That said, you could consider comparing the rated Wii launch titles as a ratio to the other consoles.  If ratings really mattered, that is.  :P

These aren't all of the launch titles.

I believe there will be 2-3 M rated titles as well.

Zelda has blood? wow, even if it isn't on everything it'll be cool if ganondorf blead when you killed him.  Or just spit blood from his mouth like in ocerena of time.
Wemen are like Artichokes, you have to work hard to get to there hearts.

Blood will increase my enjoyment of this game ten-fold.

Not really.  Blood is as important to me as Ganondorf's hair colour.

I'm guessing the infamous Far Cry will be one of them. I don't know if the Call of Duty games have a T or M rating.

Frankly, I'm surprised that RS slipped away with a T rating.

In most games, you push a button and your character swings a sword or stabs with a knife. In the case of RS, you actually pantomime it, meaning that kids would actually be mimicking the action on screen and, in the eyes of the ESRB, learning how to use a knife.

I'm stunned it got T, blood or no.

DIE, HUMAN SCUM!!

Actually, Zelda has blood clouds too, from what I saw at E3.  I remember enemies exploding and seeming rather gooey.  I think it was more smokey and dark than bloody, but you could still see the intention of gore there.
That's my opinion, not yours.
