I would like to point out to the cop that both Godfathers are dead.  So if you've investigated any townies you can be reasonably sure they're legit (unless of course they've been recruited).  However, since there's only a 1 in 6 chance of a successful recruitment, you should probably take a risk and PM any townies you found the people you investigated and their roles.  You've been alive for quite some time and (assuming you weren't recruited yourself) you should have some good dirt unless you're the worst cop in the world.
