Kokiri means lumberjack!
« on: April 02, 2003, 11:30:18 PM »
I was in my Japanese class today and decided to look up kokiri, (from OoT) and almost laughed when I read woodcutter.
maybe it's because in Link to the past there are two lumberjacks near kokirir forest. I haven't played the two Zelda games before it, are there kokiri forests in them?

Not the forests but a race named that, that lived in the forest. (Though I think they changed the spelling when it came to the US to address the last person.)
Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.

On this official page about the Japanese version of Ocarina of Time, it's spelled 'kokiri.'  And it's in katakana.  http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n01/n64/software/zelda/index.html
