Scratches on the Platinum SP?
« on: March 24, 2003, 10:41:02 AM »
I'm considering on buying the Platinum SP, but after reading Billy's little gripe about how easily the paint scratches off, I'm hesitant. Is it really that much of a problem? Is it just his, or are all of them like that?

The coat of paint is VERY thin, and it's suggested that you take care of it, and keep it in a protective case of some kind.  If you are going to be rough with it, then you're likely going to scratch the paint.

I've had mine since Friday, and don't have any scratches yet, but I've been extremely careful with it.

I've had mine since Friday as well, and haven't had any incident.  I saw the scratches on Billy's personally, and I honestly don't think they're worth worrying about.

I keep mine in a case that I got free from Best Buy.  So far not a single problem with it.

I believe it's simply a matter on how you care for your games and systems.  If you are good to your games, they will be good to you.
