Ah, thanks very much.

I tried seeker missiles, I tried going behind it, but I hadn't gotten around to combining them.  Thanks, and it's nice to know I would've figured it out, too

DJ: when the guardian is green he will continue to be green every time you bomb him again and it will also slow him down for a bit so that way you will always have time to go to the next bomb slot

I'm trying to get 100% scans and am missing some Space Pirate Logs.  So far, I have found the following logs:

Space Pirate Log - log 44681 (Command Center)
Space Pirate Log - log 48853 (Command Center)
Space Pirate Log - log 50086 (Command Center)
Space Pirate Log - log 54421 (Command Center)
Space Pirate Log - log 62217 (Command Center)
Space Pirate Log - log 63622 (Biostorage Station)
Space Pirate Log - log 67135 (Save Station C)
Space Pirate Log - log 70136 (Security Station B)
Space Pirate Log - log 71599 (Central Mining Station - Need Light Beam, Heavy Duty Turret)

Can somebody tell me how many there are total, and where the ones that I am missing is at? Thanks.

Thanks, Bill.  Even after scanning that and the last boss, I'm still only at 95% scans.  It seems that I've missed a guardian somehow, and a couple of dark enemies somewhere.  Oh well, I'm starting over to try again.

My problem now is that I'm missing 3 missile expansions as well as 1 power bomb expansion.  The list of missile expansions that I've found is too long to list, so I'll just list the power bombs and where I found them.  If anyone know where that last one is, please help.  The ones that I have found are:

--Power Bomb (Undertemple - Dark Torvus Bog - Defeat Power Bomb Guardian)
--Power Bomb Expansion - (Great Bridge - Torvus Bog)
--Power Bomb Expansion - (Putrid Alcove - Dark Torvus Bog)
--Power Bomb Expansion - (Dynamo Chamber - Temple Grounds)
--Power Bomb Expansion - (Transit Station - Sanctuary Fortress)
--Power Bomb Expansion - (Main Gyro Chamber - Santuary Fortress)
--Power Bomb Expansion - (Sandcanyon - Agon Wastes)
--Power Bomb Expansion - (Sanctuary Entrance - Sanctuary Fortress)

Thanks in advance!

Ahhhh, you missed the one I did...

You'll find your prize in Dark Agon Wastes: Feeding Pit...This was a pain since it's not intuitive to jump in the water and search for the item...

Let's start where U-mos is at, in the Great Temple.  Specifically, the room where you first fought the Alpha Splinter/Beetle thing from the beginning of the game.  This room lead to the 3 elevators (which lead to Torvus, Agon, and Sanctuary).  Hopefully you already spoke to U-mos and got the lastest translator.

Head down the path that leads to the Galaxy Federation Trooper Ship.  You'll stop at a metal door with a small pit underneath.  Stay out of the pit, and stand across from the door.  Turn on your Dark Visor, and search for the 5 spots you can fire your Seeker Missles at.  This should unlock the way.

The big metal door near the GF Trooper Ship is the way to Sanctuary Fortress.  Scan the Luminoth Lore and continue your quest.

Does any of you know how I beat the Alpha Blogg?

I have tried five! times, and I can“t beat it, as it always manages to ram me when I try to get out of the way following the head-on hits with beams or missiles? At one point I had it“s energy meter nearly totally depleted, but it got to me anyway! Why can“t I get out of the way quick enough?

I wish IGN had a video guide, SHOWING how each boss is killed! They have only some of the encounters on demo under their "review" section for GameCube games. That helped me to understand how to kill Amorbis!

Just a shame that I cannot go further.

Roll into the Morph ball after hitting him? Would that be low enough to avoid it“s belly, and roll out of the unscathed, when it counter attacks?

Hope somebody knows a smart, fast way to kill him!

Just too much of a hazzle to go back, only to get knocked down again!

Did you NOT master the quick side-dash mechanic?  You know, lightly tap B while lock-strafing so that Samus quickly jumps horizontally instead of floaty jumping?  Let the game run idly at the title screen and watch the demo video.  It should show up after a few cycles, since there's different demo footage.

Did you NOT read the logbook notes Alpha Blogg as well as the regular blogs?

Usually I just let him hit me anyway, as long as my Super Missle makes contact with his OPEN DUR mouth.  I'll hurt him way more than he hurts me.

Professional666, THANKS!

I will try what you suggest! I do recall that I had the SAME problem with Flaagra in the Metroid game, where only an alert Forum member made me aware WHY I couldn“t get away from the damn plant boss, after delivering a barrage of missiles or charged shots. But after learning that, not that it wasn“t in the instruction booklet (I was so busy just getting to p-l-a-y that awesome game, that I completely avoided it, assuming I could do it all by direct on-screen learning, as I went along in the game. But then again - I was to become a lot wiser!)

Thing is that I really think I also did press the b button several times to get out of the way of this boss, but still got only a kind of floaty jumping which was too slow to escape the lightningly fast fish! But like you said, there is ways to let him take far more damage than oneself, even though he hits you!

What I experience is this: I shoot him with the light beam, and do damage. HERE it is MUCH easier to get OUT of the way in time! BUT when I get to having only super missiles left, boy, it is much more difficult to get away! Did you experience any of that? Is there a slower reaction time with Samus, when delivering Super missiles?

Another thing is that on several occasions my super missiles did NO damage whatsoever, but the fish hit me! Exactly WHEN do you hit it? Do you do counts after the fish begins to move from it“s corner, and to the point where it is easiest to hit it? I know the mouth has to be completely open before any shot, but then why does my shots not damage it? Counting helps the timing to be the same every time, if such is possible! Do you actually do that, to make sure you hit it precisely when it is going to "go in" every time?

If I canĀ“t get this issue straightened out, I will get a lot more trouble when I encounter the other bosses, like, say, Chykka (shivers!)!!! So, hereĀ“s hoping you help me out on the Alpha Blogg one last time!

Watch the game's demo video from the title screen.  If the demo you're seeing isn't the one you want, tap start to return to the title and speed up the process.

He's easiest to hit when he's about to hit you.  I'm always on the opposite side of the water tank from him to maximize his travel distance (time).  I trigger the Super Missle before as he's halfway through his dash.  It is possible to jump out of the way and score a hit, it's just harder.  I believe charged Dark Beam shots are stronger than the Light Beam, since Alpha Blogg is from the Light World.

Amazing! Thanks again, Professional 666!!

I only used the Light beams on him, and then switched to using the super missiles. But now I can use both the Dark Beam and the Light Beam. Oh thank Heaven, for Seven...erh...PGC Gameplay Strategy...and responsive PGC Forum Members!!! Damn great website.
