Professional666, THANKS!
I will try what you suggest! I do recall that I had the SAME problem with Flaagra in the Metroid game, where only an alert Forum member made me aware WHY I couldn“t get away from the damn plant boss, after delivering a barrage of missiles or charged shots. But after learning that, not that it wasn“t in the instruction booklet (I was so busy just getting to p-l-a-y that awesome game, that I completely avoided it, assuming I could do it all by direct on-screen learning, as I went along in the game. But then again - I was to become a lot wiser!)
Thing is that I really think I also did press the b button several times to get out of the way of this boss, but still got only a kind of floaty jumping which was too slow to escape the lightningly fast fish! But like you said, there is ways to let him take far more damage than oneself, even though he hits you!
What I experience is this: I shoot him with the light beam, and do damage. HERE it is MUCH easier to get OUT of the way in time! BUT when I get to having only super missiles left, boy, it is much more difficult to get away! Did you experience any of that? Is there a slower reaction time with Samus, when delivering Super missiles?
Another thing is that on several occasions my super missiles did NO damage whatsoever, but the fish hit me! Exactly WHEN do you hit it? Do you do counts after the fish begins to move from it“s corner, and to the point where it is easiest to hit it? I know the mouth has to be completely open before any shot, but then why does my shots not damage it? Counting helps the timing to be the same every time, if such is possible! Do you actually do that, to make sure you hit it precisely when it is going to "go in" every time?
If I can“t get this issue straightened out, I will get a lot more trouble when I encounter the other bosses, like, say, Chykka (shivers!)!!! So, here“s hoping you help me out on the Alpha Blogg one last time!
